WW2 planes in the sands, Mon 1st Oct 2007

Got up at 6am and drove to the beach. Its a negative tide and this is the time to see WW2 planes just of the coastline inbedded in the sand. They were dombed by the Japanese after Darwin was hit. They were could of guard and some planes were just hit and sank to th bottom. I walked out for about a mile and a bit on wet sand and the sea was so far out. Got there just before the tide started coming in and took some really good photos and video. I saw 3 planes and then had to start wlkaing back as the sea was coming in really fast.

After getting back to the campsite we had brekkie and then lunch. Relaxed and planned what we were going to do. Then found out we'd left the lights on and had to call out the RAC. All a drama because I had to get mum to txt me my UK memebership number to get teh service for free. The guy was really nice and we found out we'd got him out of the pub. When he arrived he and a fiend we both drinking beers in the van and they said they we going home for a BBQ and beers after helping us. So very Aussie.
