We packed our bags as well as the car and off we went to the Great Ocean Road. Our first stop was surf mad Torquay. Here we visited "SurfWorld" the surf museum with all the history of the boards over the years. Also we saw the best surfers over the ages and watched the Billabong movie on riding the biggest wave ever. Really cool.
We headed to danger point for a spot of lunch and then headed to the famous Bells Beach, where all the cool surfers go to catch the best waves. Its also where the Rip Curl Pro surfing competition is held every year.
We drove through Anglesea and made our next stop at Aireys Inlet where we walked around split point Light house. This is the light house from the children's TV show Around the Twist. (Aussie show). We drove to Lorne to spend the night, as it was starting to dark.
Got a room in our first backpackers hostel. It looked really nice set with the forest all around us. We got our room key and tried to find our room. Hannah was scared to death by a huge what we thought was a parrot but found our later its a cockatoo. It came flying out of the trees, landing outside our room and started squawking at us, that is until I said "where's Polly" and it flew away. The room was nice and clean, until we came back from having dinner. We found a huge spider in our room. So as a team Hannah and I caught it and through it out the door.
Not long now!
So for all of you loyal people still looking for up dates on here. First of we're really sorry we have not up dated this more often. So its 6th May and we'll be home on the 24th May. Not long now until we're back. We are currently in Bangkok, waiting for our bus to Koh Tao. We are now going to relax and top up our tans on the beaches of southern Thailand.

Hi you two, Happy birthday!
Love Ma and Pa
Happy Birthday Bruv! Hi Hannah!
Just got back from exercise in Wales and I'm in pieces but feeling good. Had to endure the wettest day for 50 years (90mm apparently) on the first day which was a pain, had wet kit all week, even the double waterproofed stuff. Had an US Air Force guy with us from Tennessee though that added to comedy value, sounded like Elvis, "Sorry sir, but did you say 'fun run'..."
Just logged on here and read everything for the first time, sound like your getting a lot done. Are you on Facebook? I'll email you for your numbers and other bits and bobs. Try the Sheesha next time, its funny, it's just herbal stuff but makes you go light headed. Prob just from lack of oxygen though.
Norway was good fun too, the Norwegians are very friendly, as expected. One day week paddled onto a beach and this guy took us to his house in his car to get water for us. Another beach we were staying on, a family came out to us in the rain and invited us in and we had beer/wine and fresh prawns that had been caught that day. V nice people. Also, we were staying offshore on an island and the girls managed to set fire to it. So nearly had to have emergency evacuation/political incident, but we fought it for 4-5 hours till it was out. The muppets. Norway is a nice place, it's a cross between Scotland and New Zealand.
Speak soon,
Laters

Hello from a very wet Sheffield !
Sounds like you are having a brilliant time still and I hope Neil had a fab birthday - Did you get your card ? Am very impressed you went to Round the Twist Lighthouse, I loved that show !!
I guess you will have heard that Sheffield was very flooded a few days ago, it has made such a mess of everywhwere, even Meadowhall was shut for a few days !! Clares house in Hillsborough was flooded too.
Everyone is off on holiday at the mo - Aileen has gone to Cuba, Clare to Barcelona, Mandy to Ireland and then we are off to the Lakes on Friday so am packing lots of waterproofs !!! Went to see my brothers band play in Sheffield last week which was good but got very drunk and was sick all the next morning - really can't handle my beer anymore although when we went out for Aileens birthday Clare and I drank lots of rose wine, Champagne and Vodka and I felt fine the next day which was weird. So we went to Skeggie for the day and it threw it down all day and Sam pooed his pants and it leaked so he had to come home with no trousers (He was not impressed!). Well had better go because Sam has now put all the stuff I put on the bed to go in the suitcase on the floor and he thinks its hilarious!!
Miss you lots, take care.
Big hugs and kisses, Tom, Cheryl and Sam x x x x x x
