Amazing Reef, 13th Oct 2007

We were woken this morning by the sound of kids and tent pegs clanging together. By 7am the campsite was pretty much empty. We had breakfast and got ready for the beach, we tried a different place today. We ask a man what the snorkeling was like and he said it was great. Off we went into the very cold sea, about 100m off shore the sandy shorelines disappeared and dropped to amazing reef. We saw lots of little fish, then began to see some pretty big ones. We didn't stay in to long as it was so cold and we started to shiver. We went for a walk along the beach and saw a black shadow in the sea, Neil took a closer look. It was a manta ray about half a meter long, Neil went for another snorkel in search of a turtle but no look. That afternoon we drove down to Canarvon, we found a campsite with a t.v so we could watch the rugby in the early hours.
